Since starting this list, I've been thinking a lot and wondering if it is enough to be of influence. I'm sure lives are impacted by subtle nudges and maybe even more so than by overt shoves.

During vacation, I had the opportunity to speak with a fellow diabetic. He wasn't nearly as well regulated as I so I got up on my soapbox and gave him a shove. It's bothered me ever since!

Bother is a strong word and I suppose it is more of a niggling. I sense my diatribe did not influence his care of self - that was my intention. I wonder how and what I could have said to guide him to a point of self care...

Do you feel supported in your place of business?

Is there support for women in business? Where do you turn for advice? Do women act differently in the workplace than their male counterparts?

As I have matured in the business world, I've found myself turning to past mentors for perspective. Oddly, most of these people are men. I'm happy for the help and it is always sound advice but isn't it about time women stepped up to the plate?

Tell me what you think.
